After successfully connecting a clients Shopify store to Facebook & Instagram I thought I would share the steps I took here. Follow the steps below to get your products on social
Not every account will be the same and Meta is always adding updates so if you do not see the same as screen shots below please know they may have updated it.
STEP 1: Verify your Domain
Go to your Meta Business Manager
Under the tab, Brand Safety click on Domains and then add your domain.

You need to then head back to Shopify and place the given meta tag in your code of your website. Edit code > Add meta tag to the <head> section of your domain home page.

STEP 2: Add assets
In Meta Business Settings go to Users tap > People and Add Assets.

Click on each asset type and tick your name and give yourself full control on your business page. Make sure to give yourself access to Catalogs once connected to Shopify. Save changes.

Step 3: Continue setup in Shopify
Under the tab Sales Channel look up Facebook Channel in App search.
Tap begin or continue setup

Shopify will ask you to connect to your personal facebook account and then following the next steps.

STEP 4: REQUEST REVIEW
You can request review through your Meta Business Manager > Commerce Manager
OR
Login to your Instagram account and go to Settings > Business > Set up a shop and follow the prompts
In Commerce Manager you can create and manage your catalogs and edit how your shop displays on Facebook and Instagram.

STEP 5: EXTRA TIPS
If you are not approved and want to understand why then head to your Meta Business Manager > Account Quality and see what the issue is. You can fix the issue and send an appeal. It will be reviewed and hopefully your shop will be connected.
If you are struggling to connect your Shopify store to Facebook and Instagram try these steps.
